 | "I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. My family, which consists of my wonderful wife and three children, is my pride and joy. We live in the southwest metropolitan area of Grand Rapids and enjoy being involved in church, school, and community projects.
"I attended Calvin College and was trained at the University of Michigan. Postgraduate training included one year of internship at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center, three years of Dermatology training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, and six months of Fellowship training in Mohs skin cancer surgery at Henry Ford Hospital. I am certified by the American Board of Dermatology and I am a Fellow in the American College of Mohs Microscopic Surgery." |

.JPG) | "I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, then traveled east after high school to pursue my undergraduate degree at Harvard University and my medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania. Remaining in Philadelphia, I completed my medical internship at Pennsylvania Hospital and my dermatology residency at Thomas Jefferson University, where I served as Chief Resident. I went on to pursue specialized training during a one-year fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. After two years of private practice as a Mohs surgeon in Philadelphia, I joined Dr. Dekkinga's practice. I am board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and an Associate of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
Accompanying me from the East Coast, along with my medical training, are my husband and two sons, who are thrilled to be in Western Michigan, close to lakes and grandparents." |

 | "I was fortunate to receive my Physician Assistant training during my 20-year career in the Coast Guard through the Air Force PA training program. I have been a PA since 1993 and also received my Master's degree in Family Medicine through the University of Nebraska in 1997. I have received additional dermatology training from a professor of Medicine at the University of Washington and Dr. Jack Dekkinga.

 | "I received my Master's in Physician Assistant Studies at Grand Valley State University in 2000. I trained and practiced in dermatology with Dr. M. Turner at the Dermatology Center of Lake Orion for two and a half years. I returned to Western Michigan where I was born and raised to start a family. I practiced Internal Medicine prior to joining Dr. Jack Dekkinga's practice.
"Outside of my love of dermatology, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband and two beautiful children, reading, running and enjoying the outdoors.

 | "I decided at a very young age that I wanted to practice medicine. Dermatology became a passion for me as I put myself through undergraduate training at Michigan State University working with a dermatologist, Dr. Lori Fedoronko. I then received my Master's in Physician Assistant Studies at Western Michigan University in 2004. After graduation, I practiced in dermatology for a skin care center in Southfield for 2 years.
"My husband and I have recently moved back to West Michigan to be closer to family and to start our family. In my spare time I like to read, camp, and spend time with friends".

 | "I took my course to become an esthetician in 2005 from the French Academy of Cosmetology. I have worked in the Skin Revitalizing Center since December, 2005. Here at the Skin Revitalizing Center, I have been specially trained in the use of our Cutera Laser, Permanent Cosmetics, Jane Iredale cosmetics, and air-brush tanning.

 | "I have worked for the Skin Revitalizing Center since September, 2006 as an Aesthetic Skin Consultant. As a provider at the SRC, I am qualified to perform many procedures. I have received professional training on all procedures performed, which includes certification for all Laser procedures, Diamond Tome training for Microdermabrasions, Master Makeup Artistry classes for for Jane Iredale Mineral cosmetics, and air-brush spray tanning.
"Personally, my family life is very important to me. I have three wonderful children. I love aimals and I truly enjoy my work life at SRC."
